Eggshell Chick Collage Craft Kit Instructions, Video and Printable template
What do we do when we have leftover supplies? Send them out into the world so that other humans can make collages out of eggshells too!
Here in Lake Cowichan, on this wonderful spring day, you can pick up an eggshell craft kit from me or at the art center just over in Youbou.
If you're gathering your own supplies for this adventure, here's what you'll need:
Eggshells in 4 colors: Light, Medium, Dark and Background colors. You can often find these at roadside egg stands. If you have trouble finding color varieties, you could try connecting with someone who has backyard chickens or a small chicken farm that has eggshell varieties. If you're in the Cowichan Valley, you can connect with the awesome folks over at Chicken Town Hatchery and Hens - they would probably save you some eggshells and might give you a tour of the chicks too if you ask nicely.
A piece of cardboard or a small canvas panel to glue your template to. The size that I used was 4 inches square.
Clear School Glue. Any brand is fine. You might have some left over from a slime making adventure. If you're feeling fancy, modpodge is the product that I use for my artist quality collages.
Toothpicks - flat or round or a skewer are all fine
